‘Fast and Furious 7’ fortsætter, hvor forgængeren slap.
Dominic Toretto og hans hold troede, at de kunne sige farvel til deres kriminelle liv permanent, og med det nybagte forældrepar Brian og Mia som omdrejningspunkt synes familien nu det allervigtigste.
Men fortiden indhenter Dom. Broren til terroristen Owen Shaw, som holdet tidligere har besejret, er ude efter hævn. Samtidig konkurrerer en somalisk terrorist og en mystisk regeringsrepræsentant om herredømmet over et teknologisk våben kaldet God’s Eye, der kan ændre magtbalancen i verden. Dom må nu samle sit hold for at beskytte sin familie og bringe God’s Eye i de rette hænder.
Syvende version af ‘Fast & Furious’ ligger i direkte forlængelse af de seneste to. Men hvor de hæsblæsende action-scener før blev suppleret af handlingstråde fra kupfilm, er det denne gang agentgenren, og filmserier som Mission: Impossible og James Bond, der ligger til grund for plottet.
I stil med sidstnævnte er der elementer, der altid skal være i en Fast & Furious-film: Eksotiske locations (denne gang bl.a. Abu Dhabi), letpåklædte kvinder, hurtige biler og selvfølgelig skuespillerholdet bestående af bl.a. Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson og ikke mindst Paul Walker, der døde tragisk i et biluheld, mens optagelserne stod på. Som ny tilføjelse indtager action-veteranen Jason Statham rollen som hævnsøgende Deckard Shaw.
‘Fast & Furious 7’ er den hidtil dyreste i serien, der siden 2001 har indspillet over 2,4 mia. dollars på verdensplan.
